Camping in the Arctic nature
Step into the heart of Norway's frozen backcountry with an unforgettable night in a traditional lavvo, nestled in the untouched wilderness of Kvaløya. Enjoy a hearty, traditional Norwegian dinner in our cosy cabin before settling into the warmth of the Sami tent for a night under the stars. If you're lucky, the Northern Lights will dance above, adding a touch of magic to the experience. Throughout your stay, you're invited to be a part of the action - whether it's chopping wood for the fire or making popcorn over the flames, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with nature. Enjoy breakfast in the morning before returning - hopefully with some amazing photos and unforgettable memories.
You will be picked up outside the Radisson Blu hotel in Tromsø, and driven to our kennel. The drive will take approximately 45 min. There you will be provided with some warm clothes before we take you out to the camp, where you will spend the night in the pristine nature of Kvaløya.
Once you arrive, you'll receive some practical information and have time to soak in the breathtaking surroundings. Dinner - a hearty, traditional Norwegian meal - will be served in our cosy cabin, where you can relax and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace.
When the night falls, we will cook popcorn over a fire and share some good stories in a company of our furry companions, waiting for the northern lights to dance above and around us.

You will be sleeping in sleeping bags over reindeer skins inside a traditional lavvo. With a warming fire in a wood burner to keep you warm, cosy and comfortable.
In the morning you'll enjoy breakfast, the traditional Norwegian waffles cooked directly over a warming fire. Here we will take in the last moments of this beautiful experience before packing down and returning to the kennel. You will then be driven back to Tromsø.
This is an adventure where you are welcome to get hands on and experience the true essence of Norwegian outdoor life - where the cold, the beauty of winter, and the thrill of nature come together for an unforgettable experience!

Important information
Winter boots and winter clothing is provided by us, but we recommend you wear a base layer of wool with a wool jumper or fleece. You must bring a warm hat, a scarf and gloves.
We also provide camping gear.
