Experience dogsledding in the autumn season
At the end of winter season we pack away the sleds. During warmer months our dogs get more rest than usual, but they still need to stay in shape for the next winter season. Therefore we bring out our husky wagons, which also means that we can give you the husky experience during all seasons! This year we offer husky wagon rides in the period of September to November.
On this trip you will be brought to our dog yard at Leirstrandvegen 227, 9106 Straumsbukta. When the dogs are pepared we will drive together to our trail where the wagons are placed. As a visitor you get the opportunity to sit in one wagon driven by one of our professional mushers. Each wagon has two seats, which is excellent for enjoying the experience with a friend or family, children are to be accompanied by adults. During the ride we will take you trough our husky trail in beautiful landscape. Afterwards you get time to greet the dogs of your team, show them love and ask any question to our workers. Our employees will also be able to share their experiences and stories so you can get to know more about the work that we put into our dogkeeping.
The activity is leveled easy, but it is not recommended to book the activity if you suffer from back pain, heart problems or if you are in the late stages of pregnancy.
It is recommended to bring weather appropriate clothes, hat, scarf and gloves. If needed we will provide rain gear. The entire activity is outdoors. Included in the activity is: transfer from the city, experienced guide, husky-wagon ride and coffee/tea.
Season: 1st of September to 1st of November or longer if there is no snow.

Departure time from Radisson Blu Hotel (Entrance on Fredrik Langes gate side): 08:00 AM and 12.20 PM. Please make sure to arrive on time.
Departure time from Yggdrasiltunet: 08.25 AM and 12.45 PM. Please inform the staff at Yggdrasiltunet about your tour. The transport is not included in the cost.
Guests who are coming with own car: Please arrive at the kennel at 08.40 AM and 1.00 PM
Included: Guide that is an experienced musher, wagon ride, transfer (45 minutes each way), waterproof clothes, boots, storytelling and hot drinks.
Clothing to bring: Warm clothes, gloves, hat and scarf

Age restriction: those younger than 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult
